If you’re searching for a sneaker to fuel all his adventures, look no further than Nike’s Air Max 2090 collection. The most fashionable functional sneaker on the market, grade school boys can score a pair of Nike Air Max 2090s in a Wolf Grey, white and Particle Grey colorway on April 16.
The boys’ Air Max 2090 takes its style cues from the Air Max 90. When Nike’s design team created this sneaker, they took the best of the 90 and gave the shoe an upgraded, futuristic spin, driving forward the Air Max brand. A rubber waffle outsole grounds the sneaker with deep flex grooves for optimal traction on any surface, while the Air-Sole unit gets 200% more air than its predecessor for a super-bouncy ride.
Other standout features of the Air Max 2090 include a cropped, embroidered Swoosh on the upper and a recessed Air logo at the heel — similar to the Air Max 90’s features. A ribbed cassette calls attention to the Air unit by framing it for plenty of bold visibility.
Many of the Air Max 2090 colorways pay tribute to the evolution and next generation of transportation, and this version gives off a speeding bullet-train-like aesthetic with its grey palette and streamlined aerodynamic silhouette. The upper comprises layer upon layer of transparent and opaque mesh for structure and breathability whether he’s running around the playground, working out in the gym or lounging in the grass.
Putting these boys’ sneakers on and lacing them up is a breeze, thanks to a speed lacing system and pull tabs at the heel and tongue. A cushioned internal bootie, padded heel and Cushlon foam midsole bolster the all-day comfort of the whole package.
As the Nike Air Max line commemorates the AM 90’s 30th anniversary, the Air Max 2090 continues the celebration. This April, visit Hibbett | City Gear curbside or online to pick up a pair of the grade school boys’ Air Max 2090s in the Wolf Grey, white and Particle Grey palette.
