March — aka Nike Air Max month — may have come in like a lion, but it’s leaving with a bang, thanks to a robust rollout of Nike VaporMax EVO sneakers. A nod to the Air Max line’s evolution, the appropriately named EVO shoes celebrate the best of the lineage.

Beginning March 26, women and men can connect with three new sneakers that combine modern elements with heritage-inspired tech into one extraordinary package. By extracting Air Max DNA and rolling it into the VaporMax EVO, Nike showcases its commitment to innovation, history and timeless design.

The first pair of men’s shoes will be offered in a contemporary tonal black colorway. Another men’s palette mixes Tech Grey, Anthracite, white and Midnight Navy, while the women’s rendition of the VaporMax EVO comes in white and Tech Grey. The latter two sneakers are part of the brand’s “Evolution of Icons” pack, and all three releases include standout features of seven Nike Air models remixed into futuristic packages that offer lighter-than-Air comfort.

The present and past collide with features like the Air Max Plus’ supportive whale tail shank, a TPU Swoosh like that of the Air Max 180 and a mudguard that plays off the Air Max 90’s design. Air Max 93, Air Max 96, Tuned 99, Solas and Air Max 180+ features are incorporated into the EVO shoe, and there’s a subtle shoutout to each on the neoprene tongue tag and insole. An EVO heel badge rests just below the sneaker’s generously sized heel tab.

The men’s black rendition features an all-black upper that takes on mesh with synthetic overlays for stability, breathability and lightweight support. View the heel-to-toe visible VaporMax cushioning through the sneakers’ transparent smoky black casing.

This lighter-than-Air foundation plays off the original Air Max technology and offers incredible responsiveness and a futuristic style. A plush foam midsole contributes to the overall comfort of the sneaker. The black outsole incorporates a snake-like traction pattern enhanced with rubber pods for exceptional multi-surface traction.

Similar themes persist throughout the other two Vapormax EVO colorways launching in this pack.
