Feeling adventurous? If so, you’ll love Nike’s new take on the Dunk Low SE. The Nike Dunk Low SE “Animal” White/Light Curry/Washed Teal sneaker drops May 5 in women’s sizes.
The Nike Dunk Low SE “Animal” helps you embrace your primal self with a mixup of prints and designs. The wild array is a bit reminiscent of the eclectic “What The?” colorway series, but it doesn’t seem to be part of the collection.
The upper of this shoe is a simple white leather, but that’s one of the few simple things about it. Suede cheetah overlays cover the toe box and heel counter. At the forefoot, this overlay changes to a metallic silver and black dot pattern from some unknown animal. On the left shoe is an orange suede Swoosh that cuts across the middle. It covers a teal horsehair patch at the ankle. Coloring is similarly mismatched on the right shoe, with a teal Swoosh and purple horsehair patch.
You’ll see colors on the eyestays and heel as well. The right shoe has red eyestays and orange heel branding, while the left shoe has purple eyestays and red heel branding. On both shoes, white laces sit on top of a white tongue featuring black and red Nike branding. The upper is stitched into a simple white midsole that keeps things from being too ostentatious. A similarly chill black outsole grounds the shoe and stops the design from being over the top.
While the Nike Dunk Low began life as a basketball shoe—and then a skateboard shoe—you’ll likely want to keep off the hardwood and skate park with these beauties. These shoes are a wild ride—so make sure you’re feeling bold and fierce when wearing them. These would look great paired with leggings or crop tops featuring some of the same animal print patterns. Or let your feet do all the talking by keeping the rest of your outfit black and sleek.
Channel your inner cheetah and let out a roar when you slip on the Nike Dunk Low SE “Animal.” Don’t let them escape—catch your pair in women’s sizes starting May 5, online or at your local Hibbett | City Gear.
