As the temperature begins to rise, Nike is launching its newest running sneaker just in time for the hotter months.
Beginning July 1, men and women can shop the Nike Free Run 5.0, a deceptively simple running shoe with a more elegant silhouette, available in a black, white and Smoke Grey colorway.
Pared-down in style and made with at least 20% recycled content, these running shoes offer the sock-like fit that all runners crave while providing a transitional sneaker that can take you from the track or the treadmill to your everyday routine. The 5.0 version of the Free Run employs a sleek Smoke Grey and black breathable knit upper that allows the foot space and flexibility to stretch as you complete each gait cycle.
Extra padding around the shoe’s collar helps cut down on any discomfort around the ankle. Flywire technology holds the laces in place to keep the midfoot locked down, while a heel pull tab allows for easy donning and doffing of the men’s running sneakers.
The white foam midsole of the Nike Free Run 5.0 forms a thick, comfortable foundation for the wearer, thanks to softer, lighter and more responsive material than previous versions. Laser-cut grooves into the outsole enhance the running shoe’s ability to move with the foot, while Smoke Grey rubber traction patterns add durability and traction at the forefoot and heel.
