Paul George may seem perfectly at ease on the basketball court, but the only time the six-time NBA All-Star lets his guard down is when he’s out on the water. The latest PG 4 sneaker celebrates the avid fisherman’s love for the outdoors, and trust us: this colorway is a real catch.

On September 4, reel in the Nike PG 4 “PCG Teal,” a basketball sneaker that lets you live the salt life anywhere you go. The shoe, which comes in an anthracite, black and aqua palette, will be available in men’s sizes at Hibbett | City Gear.

With its signature zipper concealing a lacing system and a blend of mesh and nylon, the PG 4 “PCG Teal” edition takes on the distinct aesthetic of a classic fisherman’s vest. Like the shimmer of fish scales, the shoe’s silvery-grey upper shell gets a gridded nylon ripstop overlay on the lateral side. The fabric opens up to a loosely woven angler-style mesh net on the medial side of the sneaker. Like the crystalline waters of the ocean, aqua dresses the zipper, embellishes the upper, and adorns the heel and tongue tabs.

A white Swoosh swoops along the lateral sides with all the careful angles of a fisherman’s lure. A triangular insignia at the heel features the light green “PCG” letters.

On the interior of the performance sneaker, Nike designer Tony Hardman created the PG 4 with George’s footfalls in mind. Much like the graceful flash of a fish cutting through the water, L.A. Clippers’ forward Paul George’s movements down the court mimic a well-choreographed dance.

To accommodate those power plays through court traffic, Hardman gave the PG 4 a Nike Air Strobel system. The Strobel’s lightweight footbed directly attaches to a full-length Air bag for fluid movement. The system also works in tandem with the other pieces and parts of the shoe. The outsole, for instance, gets its balance of grip and traction from a series of small concentric circles. A glimpse of Air is visible thanks to a small window inset into the heel area of the outsole.
