Launching on November 21, your budding baller or style superstar can make help turn heads when they pop on a pair of the Nike Zoom Freak 2 “University Red/Glacier Ice” grade school or preschool boys’ basketball shoes!
Designed in partnership with Milwaukee Bucks power forward Giannis Antetokounmpo, aka The Greek Freak, the Zoom Freak 2 is the second rendition of this pro-athelete’s signature shoe.
These kids’ low top basketball shoes come ready to play. Even if your littlest ballers have yet to master Antetokounmpo’s “Euro Step,” a long lateral on-court move he uses to whiz past opponents, the sneakers allow preschoolers and grade-schoolers alike to forge their own legacies.
Breathable layers of mesh keep busy feet cool, while synthetic overlays, molded TPU pieces and a TPU clip give the shoe provide a nice balance of stability and structure to the upper.
These Nike sneakers‘ Air Zoom midsole provides maximum energy return and shock absorption. This allows the preschool and grade school crowd to run, jump, play and more in luxurious cushioned comfort, while ground-hugging traction comes via a full rubber decoupled outsole.
The University Red/Glacier Ice Freak 2 also features a midfoot carbon fiber shank plate for additional arch support. The shoe’s dizzying outsole pattern climbs the sneakers’ sides to aid even the smallest ballers with abrasion resistance and durability.
Like its predecessor, the Zoom Freak 1, this new shoe isn’t short on graphic details. Check out the oversized Nike Swooshes adorning the sneaker’s sides, Zoom Freak logos, The Greek Freak’s triangle insignia and familial touches like the “I Am My Father’s Legacy” and family names throughout the shoe.
