Both the women’s and toddlers’ Club C Cardi and Cardi Coated Club C Double get the “High Vis Green” treatment, while the “Chalk” colorway launches exclusively in women’s sizes.
If there’s one thing we know to be true about Cardi B is that she does WHAT she wants, HOW she wants, no matter what her haters may say. Well, the Grammy Award-winning artist is doing just that with her revamped and glamourized Club C kicks.
More than three decades ago (before Cardi B was born), Reebok dropped their original Club C sneakers. A basic white Reebok sneaker with an abrasion-resistant rubber outsole that paired perfectly with proper tennis whites, the Club C was made expressly for the tennis court, and it quickly became the go-to-shoe for country clubbers.
Now, 35 years later, Cardi B, a female rapper from the Bronx, brings this once members-only sneaker off the tennis court and into the streets with a Cardi-worthy makeover.
Patent leather uppers give Cardi Club C its eye-catching shine, while translucent TPU overlays contribute to the texture and the sneaker’s utilitarian vibe. The shoe’s chunky outsole features boot-like grooves and a raised platform base, elevating the shoe both physically and in appearance and making them perfect for urban exploring or staying out all night at the club. In addition to giving the sneaker that crave-worthy retro vibe, the see-through rubber outsole signifies Cardi’s love of keepin’ it real, whether she’s rapping about money or relationships.
