For years, Allen Iverson was the Answer for the Philadelphia 76ers. Then in 2006, he was traded to the Denver Nuggets in a move that shocked the basketball world.
Despite only spending two years in the Mile High City, Iverson had league-leading stats that helped him make the All-NBA Third Team. The new Reebok Question Mid “Nuggets” celebrates that achievement with a white and powder blue color scheme. It drops in men’s, grade school kids’, preschool kids’ and toddler kids’ sizing on November 25.
A white leather upper keeps things clean and crisp on this slightly chunky silhouette. A light blue leather overlay covers the toe for a nice contrast. You’ll notice that same baby blue on the Reebok logo embroidery across the middle.
White laces lock into white lace eyelets all featuring a mini Reebok logo in blue. These criss-cross over a mesh tongue that transitions to leather at the top. There, you’ll see powder blue Reebok embroidery. White ankle padding curls around to the heel, which features a light blue leather cutout. On this is yellow Question embroidery. At the bottom of the heel, the light blue outsole juts up to provide space for a golden number 3 emblem.
The chunky, all-white midsole has two Hexalite cushioning windows that give you a glimpse of the padding. Beneath that is a baby blue outsole featuring some yellow graphics.
While the outside of this shoe might seem quite pedestrian, it’s full party on the inside. A custom insole features a full-length graphic of the Answer himself, gold chains and all.
Fans of the Nuggets will love how these shoes resemble the 2003-2018 powder blue uniforms. They’d look great paired with a vintage jersey from this period. Of course, if you don’t have one on hand, jeans and an Iverson tee will work just as well.
While this Scott Hewett design is now 26 years old, the Question still holds up as a solid streetwear shoe. In particular, the Reebok Question Mid “Nuggets” colorway looks like it’ll be a welcome addition to the wardrobes of collectors everywhere.
