Golden State Warriors’ point guard Steph Curry is ready to be back on the court and leading his team in the upcoming NBA season. Under Armour recently gave “The Golden Boy” his own imprint under the brand (Curry Brand) in conjunction with the launch of his eighth signature sneaker.
Cop a pair of the new Under Armour Curry 8s in a “24K Gold” white and gold colorway befitting Curry’s regal status. The shoes, available on December 18, will land in grade school boys’ and men’s sizes.
These sneakers are clean, modern and have softer curves and more elongated features than previous Curry models. Their most prominent design element? The Curry 8 sneakers are completely rubberless. The base of the Curry 8 employs UA Flow, a super lightweight foam that gives players a supportive grounded feel, plenty of court-sticking grip and a platform for easy lift-offs and incredibly soft landings.
The all-white foundation gives way to the white mesh upper, which features shiny, regal gold overlays. Gold outlines the shoe’s sides with a serger-like stitch. The top eye stays, heel tabs and shoe branding all get that Midas — or, should we say, Curry? — touch.
You’ll find refreshed branding on the tongue and the shoe’s sides. A circle of five gold stars adorns the heel. Gold Under Armour branding is set into the outsole and appears subtly at the bottom of the heel.
With the announcement of his standalone branding, the already-established NBA star is one to watch. Beginning December 18, NBA fans, players and sneakerheads can experience the comfort, exceptional cushioning and clean, modern design of this reimagined basketball shoe.
