NBA star Steph Curry released his first signature Under Armour shoe in 2015, but he took things to the next level when he established Curry Flow Brand in 2020. This standalone UA brand and Curry’s first Flow model, the Curry Flow 8 is just as impressive as the Warriors’ Golden Boy himself.

The next colorway to dress the Curry 8 silhouette is draped in a svelt black and white tux-like color palette. The “Silent Night” Curry Flow 8 hits shelves on February 19 in men’s, grade school kids’ and preschool kids’ sizes.

The shoe’s sleek black upper features a combination of breathable mesh and durable synthetic leather. Along the heel counter and tongue, the Curry Brand logo rests in white — a symbol consisting of Steph’s initials and a high wing to represent the gesture he throws every time he nails a three-pointer.

The chunky outsole and midsole also glow in a radiant white that contrasts sharply with the uppers pitch-black background. The only hint of color on the Curry 8’s all-white outsole is a single instance of black at the center of each sole in the form of the Under Armour logo.

While this colorway is new, the shoes themselves are the same delightful model Chef Curry launched in December 2020. Curry is constantly racing around the court as a point guard for the Golden State Warriors, so he needed kicks that could provide game-long comfort, grip and flexibility. The Curry Flow 8 has it all thanks to revolutionary UA Flow technology at the midsole and outsole.

Instead of using rubber to provide traction, these kicks opt for a unique foam base instead. The result is a basketball shoe that not only sticks to the hardwood but is also lightweight and silent.

Despite lacking a traditional rubber outsole, the Curry Flow 8 provides a locked-in feel so you can spin and pivot all you like — a quality that has caused the designers to dub Flow tech as “unicorn foam.”
