Since 1987, the Nike Air Max 1 has reigned supreme as one of the hottest sneakers of all time. The Tinker Hatfield design even has its own holiday—Air Max Day—celebrated every year on March 26. And now, the Paris architecture-inspired sneaker is releasing in two new colorways for her.

The women's Air Max 1 "Dusty Cactus" uses shades of Dusty Cactus, Phantom, Coconut Milk and white to create a basic shoe that'll pair well with casual outfits. The women's Air Max 1 "Alabaster" is even more neutral with shades of Alabaster, Summit White, black and white in the mix. Both drop on April 4.

The "Dusty Cactus" colorway has a suede teal mudguard that runs around the shoe. The rest of the upper is white mesh. It's covered in creamy beige overlays at the heel and midfoot. There's also the classic teal side Swoosh. The white tongue and insole include additional teal Nike Air branding.

The Alabaster shares an all over Sail colorblocking accented by Pale Yellow mudguards and Swoosh logos. The side panel and heel overlays are also a lighter off-white shade that nearly blends in with the white mesh.

Both shoes are seated on a chunky midsole. The Dusty Cactus one is a darker beige, while the Alabaster one is off-white.

As for the tell-tale visible Air unit in the heel? Hatfield was inspired by a building in Paris, called the Centre Georges Pompidou, that showcased its functional and structural elements on the outside of the structure rather than hiding them within. It inspired him to remove a piece of the midsole on the Air Max 1 and make the bag a bit wider so you can see it peeking through.

Each shoe also features a tri-toned rubber outsole that's teal or yellow at the heel, black at the midsole, and cream at the heel.

These renditions of the Air Max 1 are sure to be a great addition to any sneakerhead's closet.
