Jul 6, 2023

The 93rd installment of Major League Baseball’s All-Star game is coming up on July 11 during MLB All-Star Weekend 2023. The National League (NL) and the American League (AL) will face off at T-Mobile Park in Seattle, Washington, marking the third occasion Seattle has hosted the MLB All-Star showdown. Those who can’t make it to the field can watch it on FOX or the FOX Sports app. So who is playing during MLB All-Star Weekend 2023? What can fans expect? And what is the MLB All Star Weekend schedule? We’re breaking it down for you right now.

MLB All-Star Weekend 2023 Schedule

In addition to the main event, MLB All-Star Weekend has a slew of other attractions to watch out for:

  • HBCU Swingman Classic: Saturday, July 7 at 10:30 p.m. ET on the MLB Network
  • SiriusXM All-Star Futures Game: Saturday, July 8 at 7 p.m. ET on the MLB Network and Peacock

  • All-Star Celebrity Softball Game: Saturday, July 8 on ESPN, immediately following the All-Star Futures Game
  • 2023 MLB Draft Day: Starting Sunday, July 9 at 7 p.m. ET on ESPN

  • T-Mobile Home Run Derby: Monday, July 10 at 8 p.m. ET on ESPN

National League Lineup

One name on the NL starting lineup is Sean Murphy of the Atlanta Braves. In addition to being a fan of the adidas adiZero 4.0 BGs, he is currently the MLB’s No. 1 catcher, ranking third in Catcher Framing Runs and second in wRC+. Murphy will be accompanied by Miami Marlins second baseman Luis Arraez. Arraez, who was seen wearing New Balance cleats during the first inning of a spring training game, leads the league in batting average and is the first player in decades to hit .400-plus through 65 games. They’ll be joined by other familiar names, such as Freddie Freeman of the Los Angeles Dodgers, Fernando Tatis Jr. of the San Diego Padres and Corbin Carroll of the Arizona Diamondbacks.

American League Roster

In the past, Marcus Semien, second baseman for the Texas Rangers, has been a fan of the Nike Alpha Huarache Elite 3 Low cleats. He also currently holds the record for the longest hitting streak in 2023 (25 games), and his name is in the running for AL MVP. Yandy Diaz of the Tampa Bay Rays will play first base, and since he leads his peers in batting average, slugging, OPS, home runs, wRC+ and fWAR by a significant margin, most everyone agrees he’s a welcome addition to the batting roster. You can easily spot him wearing pink adidas cleats in honor of his wife, who is presently pregnant with their first child — a daughter. Other names include Shohei Ohtani of the Los Angeles Angels, Alex Verdugo for the Boston Red Sox and Jose Ramirez of the Cleveland Guardians.
