Celebrate an extra 24 hours on the calendar this year with a fresh pair of “Pine Green” Nike Air Jordan 1 Retro High OG sneakers, dropping at Hibbett | City Gear on Leap Day 2020.
The newest iteration of the AJ 1 Retro High OG basketball shoe features a rich color palette of Pine Green, black, white and Gym Red accents. The men’s and grade school kids’ basketball shoes follow the same color-blocking as the recent AJ 1 Retro “Bred” release, swapping out Gym Red in favor of the Pine Green.
When the inaugural Jordan 1 sneaker dropped in 1985, it was an instant icon. Thanks to Peter Moore’s shrewd design and Michael Jordan’s meteoric rise to stardom, the shoe made a splash in the arena and on the streets.
Thirty-five years later, the retro sneaker continues to impress with its classic look and effortless fashionability. Its silhouette remains a relevant collectible for sneakerheads and ballers alike. For the latest AJ 1 Retro, a smooth full-grain black leather comprises most of the sneaker’s upper. A perforated, tumbled leather Pine Green toe box and green leather detailing along the heel and Swoosh add depth to the design.
The AJ 1’s wide collar, padded tongue and sock liner all contribute to the shoe’s overall comfort, along with the fully encapsulated Air Sole unit. A Gym Red Nike Air logo sits on the tongue, while the OG Jordan Wings logo rests on the ankle.
A white midsole rides atop the Pine Green outsole, which features a mixture of concentric circles and flex grooves for optimal traction and grip on the court and in the streets.
