There’s a new Nike Air Jordan 1 High OG colorway coming, and it’s the bee’s knees. The new “Pollen” colorway heavily features—you guessed it—black and yellow as its primary hues. It’s flying into stores in men’s, grade school, preschool and toddler sizes starting August 14.

This iteration of the AJ 1 High OG keeps the spirit of Michael Jordan’s very first shoe alive with a colorful twist. The black leather upper is coated with bright yellow leather overlays along the toe, lace guard, middle Swoosh, ankle and heel. A perforated toe box gives your foot room to breathe and creates a cool-looking pattern.

On the ankle, you’ll see the original Jordan logo. Yellow laces strap up all the way to the ankle, while the yellow tongue features white Nike Air branding with a black Swoosh.

A vibrantly white midsole keeps things from getting too duo chromatic, while a golden outsole offers flex grooves for traction. You might see parallels with this shoe and the Nike Dunk High “Varsity Maize” that was released back in December — or if you have a good memory, the Nike Dunk High “Wu Tang” from the ’90s. While the color scheme is virtually identical to both kicks, this shoe has a slightly more mustard hue than the brighter yellow those shoes used.

Wearing this shoe is easy, especially if you’re a Steelers or Iowa Hawkeyes fan. In that case, just toss these shoes on with the jersey of your favorite player. For the rest of us, the black and gold might look good with a third accent color, like red or royal blue. Or stick with black shorts and a golden T-shirt for a truly synced vibe.
