Overpronation. Shin splints. Plantar fasciitis. If you’re a seasoned runner, you’ve likely experienced some of these characteristic pains. Nike hopes to curtail some of these injuries beginning January 16 with its latest running shoe: the Nike React Infinity Run Flyknit.
Whether you’re gearing up for an upcoming marathon or just trying to maintain your New Year’s resolution of getting a little more exercise, pound the pavement in what Nike says is its most innovative running shoe to date.
The Nike React Infinity Run Flyknit men’s shoe will be available in both a Platinum Tint and Blast Pink colorway and Wolf Grey, White and Cool Grey palette. The Platinum Tint and Black Pink colorway also drops in women’s sizing on January 16 along with a women’s Nike React Infinity Run Flynit shoe in black and white.
Nike’s designers took the structure of the Zoom Vaporfly 4% Flyknit and the cushioning of the Nike React and combined them in this latest creation. The Infinity Run features 24% more React foam than the Epic React 2 running shoe. These sneakers also feature a wider, slanted midsole. The shape of the “rocker”-style outsole allows for fluid heel-to-toe movement and zonal performance no matter where your foot falls.
Durability is also the name of the game when it comes to the Infinity Run. These shoes employ the new Flyknit Loft material. Three layers of woven mesh create a long-lasting upper that keeps your feet cool, dry and stable mile after mile.
The widened React midsole cradles your foot so it stays in place, reducing the chances of an injury, and a thicker rubber outsole further ups the durability ante, keeping the traction pattern from wearing down as quickly as in past models.
Pick up a pair of men’s or women’s Nike React Infinity Run Flyknit sneakers at your local Hibbett | City Gear store on January 16 or online at Hibbett.com.
Be sure to stock up on running apparel while you shop, like the Nike Men’s Running White/Black Track Pant and Element Hybrid Half Zip Running Pullover, or a pair of Nike Women’s Air Tempo Running Shorts and a Nike Women’s Pro Classic Padded Bra.
