Dropping February 13, just in time for Valentine’s Day, the Superstar is getting an edgy, ladies-only upgrade, complete with textured Black Python print branding.

The OG adidas Superstar sneakers got their start on the basketball court in the early ’70s, quickly cementing its status as one of the most popular shoes ever created. Why? For starters, the shoe’s no-nonsense design is built for battle on the hardcourt and chic style in the streets.

The white rubber toe cap, coupled with the chunky rubber cupsole, gives the Superstar its heft and durability while the white leather upper provides a clean backdrop for a premium aesthetic.

Inside the shoe, a padded heel collar and mesh lining contribute to the low top silhouettes’ go-anywhere comfort.

The new women’s exclusive Black Python colorway takes the best and most beloved features of the original and marries them with gold and snakeskin access like the a gold Trefoil on the tongue and heel; gold Superstar branding on the shoe’s lateral sides; and the signature Three Stripes, punctuated with breathable perforations between. Both the heel and Three Stripes get a shiny, embossed black python treatment.

Over the last 50 years, the adidas Superstar has been reworked and reimagined from a game-changing basketball shoe into a cultural phenomenon. This iconic sneaker has seen collaborations with designers, musicians and artists from around the world and has appeared in nearly every colorway imaginable.
