Looking for an all-around versatile kids’ sneaker enlivened with punches of color? Connect your kids with the Air Jordan 3 Retro SE “Electric Green,” kids’-exclusive colorway, featuring black, white, Electric Green, Violet Shock and Green Glow tones, which launches on May 13 in toddler, preschool and grade school sizes.

This Jordan Retro release offers a playful remix of two previous AJ 3 models — the 2013 “Joker” palette, outlined in Electric Green with purple accents, and the Atmos x Air Jordan 3 Safari shoe with its staid black upper and icy translucent outsole.

A sensible, full-grain black leather characterizes the bulk of the shoe’s upper. In addition to its unparalleled durability, thanks to the use of premium materials and quality craftsmanship, the shoe is easy to clean after romps in the mud, accidental spills and playground scuffs.

The double-stitched elephant print mudguards reflect the longstanding heritage and thoughtful design of the original Tinker Hatfield shoe, and a white foam midsole encases both a visible Air unit and an encapsulated forefoot unit for incredible comfort day in and day out.

Toward the top of the shoe is where things get especially interesting. A punch of green electrifies the shoe’s throat and tongue, tempered only by the black laces that weave in and out of the eye stays. Violet Shock dresses the shoe’s inner lining, while all visible Jumpman branding — from the tongue to the heel insignia — lands in white.

Flip the shoe over to catch a glimpse of the violet inlaid rubber traction pattern and “Jordan” spelled out in Electric Green along the otherwise ice-cold outsole. The Air Jordan 3 was the first to ditch the Nike branding, incorporate visible Air into the heel and include the Jumpman logo.
