Sneakers Release – Jordan 4 Retro “Infrared” Dark Grey/Infrared 23/Black Men’s & Kids’ Shoe Launching 6/15

The Jordan 4 Retro “Infrared” Dark Grey/Infrared 23/Black drops June 15 in men’s, grade school, preschool and toddler kids’ sizes at Hibbett | City Gear.

Famously known as the shoes Michael Jordan wore when sinking “The Shot,” the Air Jordan 4 has cemented itself in history as the go-to baller kick. Perhaps that’s why we’re still seeing new colorways drop 33 years after its 1989 release.

The Jordan Retro 4 “Infrared” bears a striking similarity to 2013’s “Green Glow”—just with neon red instead of mint accents. The toe cap is covered in a Cement Gray overlay, while the rest of the upper has a Dark Grey tone. Cutouts of black urethane-coated mesh cover the middle and beneath the laces.

The laces themselves are black as well and held in place with Infrared 23 plastic eyelets that allow you to customize your lace. On the preschool and toddler shoes, this accent piece is a strap of leather instead of TPU, so you’ll be limited to a standard lace instead. On all shoes, these eyelet pieces connect to black wings that cut across the ankle.

The Dark Grey tongue features a black patch with an Infrared 23 Jumpman and the word “Flight” in white. The back of the tongue features Infrared 23 again, while the ankle padding is black. An Infrared 23 insole is the inverse of the tongue patch with a black Jumpman.

Moving to the heel, you’ll see a black area with a raised gray Jumpman logo, along with a waffle design that mimics the look of the wings on the sides.

A white and black midsole cuts around the shoe, with a transparent window showing the Air unit at the heel. On the bottom of the shoe is a rubber outsole featuring light gray at the toe and heel, white and Infrared 23 along the forefoot, and a black insert with an Infrared 23 Jumpman at the midfoot.

Like with any Jordan, this shoe would look great with your favorite MJ apparel. Throw on a vintage Michael Jordan jersey, or rock a pair of black or gray basketball shorts. The choice is yours for how you want to style this casual kick.
