The Nike Dunk Low “Shimmer” Metallic Silver/White women’s shoe drops December 9 at Hibbett | City Gear.

The Nike Dunk Low is one of the brand’s most frequently rebooted sneakers, constantly being released in updated colorways. This creativity is continuing with yet another new drop. This time around, we’re in store for a sparkly surprise. The Nike Dunk Low “Shimmer” uses metallic silver to create a shoe that’s out of this world.

The first thing to catch your eye is the cracked silver leather overlays around the toe, laces, ankle and heel. It looks just as luxe as you and is the perfect way to spruce up an otherwise drab outfit. Throw these sneakers on with fitted joggers to be fancy and comfy, or wear them with skinny jeans for a more sophisticated vibe.

Other than the silvery panels, this shoe has a typical white mesh upper that shows through along the toe box, middle, tongue and ankle collar. A black Swoosh soars across the middle, adding definition to the shiny design. There’s also a black embroidered Nike logo at the heel, along with a black tongue patch featuring a white Nike logo. Don’t forget about the insole, which is mostly black with a white Nike logo.

Gray laces match the silver tones of the overlays, while a gray outsole helps to tie everything together. The midsole is white for a nice continuation of the color story.

The Nike Dunk Low is clearly at the top of its game with the “Shimmer” colorway, but it’s always been a shoe with mad respect. It started life with the “Be True to Your School” campaign where it was released in some of the NCAA’s top college colors. Since then, the Peter Moore design has taken on a life of its own after being adopted by the skate community because of its flat and grippy outsole.
