Sneakers Release – Jordan 5 Retro “Jade Horizon/Desert Sand/Light Silver” Men’s & Kids’ Shoe Launching 4/9

The Jordan 5 Retro “Jade Horizon/Desert Sand/Light Silver” colorway drops in men’s and grade school kids’ sizes April 9 at Hibbett | City Gear.

The Jordan 5 Retro is seeing quite the resurgence with tons of revitalized colorways dropping. We’re about to see one more that offers a fresh take on a classic shoe.

The Air Jordan 5 “Jade Horizon” comes in a light olive green, translucent yellow and dark gray color scheme. These earthy tones are great for celebrating the freshness of spring.

The premium nubuck upper is a light olive green color called Jade Horizon. This color covers pretty much the entire surface of the shoe with the exception of the translucent yellow lace eyelets and the white tongue and ankle collar. Even the signature quarter panel netting has the same green, just in a slightly more translucent shade.

The white tongue features an embroidered Jumpman logo along with a yellow lace toggle for securing a tight fit, as well as a black “Air Jordan” tag on the back. And if you’re ever strutting around in the dark, you’ll be pleased to know the tongue features 3M reflective technology so you can make a truly flashy scene. There’s a matching embroidered white Jumpman on the heel as well.

The dark gray midsole seems simple until you get to the shark tooth cutout at the midfoot. This is in white with a speckled black print. On the heel, there’s the visible Air unit. Underfoot, the outsole is a translucent tan featuring a black Jumpman on the forefoot. The word “Jordan” appears on a black patch as well.

It’s true—MJ loved wearing these shoes on the court. But today, they’re a much better fit for your casual wardrobe. The muted tones of this shoe in particular would look great with khaki or tan sweatpants or shorts. Perhaps even consider a tie-dye hoodie to keep the earthy vibe going.
